Mali, Bamako (MAT)-CMA LEADERS RECEIVED AT MINUSMA. The Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General in Mali and MINUSMA Chief, Mr. Mahamat Saleh Annadif, received today at MINUSMA Headquarters a CMA delegation composed of Alghabas Ag Intalla and Bilal Ag Cherif. Ibrahim Ould Sidat.
The meeting was an opportunity to take stock of the main issues of the day concerning the implementation of the peace agreement resulting from the Algiers process.
The Special Representative reiterated his plea for sustained dialogue between the signatory parties to address the blockages that have slowed down the implementation of the agreement.
This meeting comes the day after a session of the United Nations Security Council, held on Mali in which it was deplored the slow implementation of the agreement.
In addition, this meeting also comes after a working visit that the main leaders of the CMA have made in the United States at the invitation of the NGO Independent Diplomat.
During this visit, they were given the opportunity to meet the heads of several international NGOs as well as diplomats, lawyers and businessmen.
Officially, the exchanges revolved around the peace process in Mali. However, this visit was not to the taste of the President of the Republic of Mali which was followed in his logic by the president of the CSA, the Algerian diplomat Ahmed Boutache.
